Challenge: Help all students find a study group

Why?

• Studying with friends is funnier
• Not everyone knows someone to work with. We should help them!

How to

This is the holy grail for some academics - make students collaborate in groups.

As always, there are several possible strategies

A dedicated topic in the community

1. Create a topic in your community dedicated for student collaboration

   Some suggested names:

   #find a study group

   #student collaboration

2. Write the first message Instruct the student what the topic is for. Make it super specific. Also feel free to add an example of how students should introduce themselves

3. Watch it evolve

   Can be combined with Find the first followers

Chatbot putting students into groups

There are chatbots that can put users into groups based on certain criterias. In Differ we have a version of this.

One way of doing this is to program it to add x users into group chats given certain criteria. This way all students will get a study group right off the bat.

Since they are not made by humans, the challenge is to activate these kind of groups.
